Japan Puts Additional Sanctions on N. Korea Involving 2 Chinese Firms

Tokyo has added to its sanctions list more groups and individuals suspected of doing business with North Korea, including two Chinese companies.

Japan's Kyodo News and NHK report five entities and nine individuals in total have been added.

They include China’s Bank of Dandong and Dalian Global Unity Shipping.

Japan has sanctions in effect not only on organizations suspected of facilitating the North’s nuclear and missile programs, but also on those linked to providing financial services and trading of luxury goods and minerals with the North.
