Radio Free Asia(RFA) reports North Korea went ahead with its latest intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) launch, without giving prior notice to international organizations overseeing the safety of ships and planes.

RFA quotes William Raillant-Clark, a communication officer for the Montreal-based International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO) as saying that the agency did not receive any notice the launch was happening.

An official of the International Maritime Organization(IMO) said the North has not given prior notice for any of its missile launches this year.

Both organizations call on member states, including North Korea, to notify in advance of plans to launch a missile or a satellite, as it could affect the safety of aircrafts and ships.
