North Korea on Thursday denounced the U.S.’ deployment of its strategic assets on the Korean Peninsula.
 
A spokesperson for the North’s Foreign Ministry said the North will not be startled by any military threat or blackmail from the U.S., and that such treats only strengthen their determination to annihilate enemy forces.  

The spokesperson made the comments during an interview with a reporter from the North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency.
 
The spokesperson said if the U.S., despite the North’s repeated warnings, continues to wield its nuclear bat and make foolish tricks, it will get a taste of the North’s nuclear arsenal.
 
The spokesperson added the recent launch of the Hwasong-14 intercontinental ballistic missiles was aimed at sending a stern warning to the U.S. for applying military pressure and sanctions on the North.
