N. Korea Threatens 'Sea of Fire' over S. Korea's Live-fire Drills
North Korea strongly condemned South Korean marines’ latest live-fire drills near the western sea border, threatening that it can turn South Korean border islands and even Seoul into a "sea of fire."
The North’s official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) said on Tuesday that warmongers of the South Korean military carried out military provocations against Pyongyang by mobilizing K9 self-propelled howitzers, a Spike surface-to-surface missile and Army helicopters and firing hundreds of artillery and rocket shells.
The report said that North Korea is ready to respond to the warmongers with its strong firepower at any time.
South Korean marines stationed on Yeonpyeong and Baengnyeong islands near the western sea border conducted a live-fire artillery drill on Monday afternoon as part of its routine exercise.
