U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that North Korean threats will be met with "fire and fury."

"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury, like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening, beyond a normal statement and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before."
 
Trump made the remark to reporters on Tuesday during his vacation at his golf course in New Jersey.
 
This follows a Washington Post report suggesting the communist country has developed a warhead design that could fit atop an intercontinental ballistic missile.
 
The U.S. daily reported Tuesday that the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency has assessed that North Korea has produced a nuclear warhead small enough to fit on an ICBM.
 
The report said that North Korea crossed a key threshold on the path to becoming a full-fledged nuclear power.
