Moon Calls for Patience in Dealing with N. Korea

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has called for patience in dealing with North Korea as Pyongyang launched three projectiles into the East Sea on Saturday.
Presidential spokesman Park Wan-ju said that Moon made the call on Saturday during a luncheon meeting with more than 110 lawmakers of the ruling Democratic Party at the presidential office Cheong Wa Dae.
Moon said that as evaluations of policies on inter-Korean relations don't come out quickly, they must be prepared with a long-term perspective, but economic growth and welfare expansion must be tangible as they are directly connected to the people’s livelihood.
The president urged Cheong Wa Dae, the government and the ruling party to work together to pursue these policies.
He also expressed confidence in his government’s strength in the areas of communication, social fairness and justice, environment and gender equality, but added that this strength can be appreciated when the government shows substantial results.
