Top US Congressman Calls for Blockage of Cash into N. Korea
The Chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee told KBS Tuesday choking off cash flow into North Korea is important to solve the North’s nuclear and missile program.
Congressman Ed Royce is on a visit to South Korea, and says the North is bringing in an enormous amount of money every year to fund its nuclear program.
Royce said new sanctions adopted by the U.N. Security Council(UNSC) and the U.S. will help block various sources of cash for the regime, and could get the North to return to the negotiating table as did the U.S. freezing of North Korean assets at Banco Delta Asia(BDA) in Macao in 2006.
