US Lawmakers Call for Stronger Sanctions against N. Korea

U.S. congressmen have called for intensifying pressure and sanctions against the North over its sixth nuclear test.
Senator Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee issued a statement on Sunday after speaking with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.
Corker said that the U.S. congress stands ready to work with the administration to support a comprehensive strategy that not only places an emphasis on deterrence but also empowers the U.S. allies and partners in the region, who must do far more to confront this threat.
Appearing on CNN, Congressman Adam Schiff called for a "secondary boycott" against third country businesses dealing with North Korea.
Regarding Trump’s move to end a free trade agreement with South Korea, Senator Jeff Flake told CNN that he does not think such a move would be good under any circumstances.
