North Korea has strongly hinted at engaging in a serious provocation against the U.S.
 
The North’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Monday that if the U.S. ends up generating stronger, wrongful sanctions against the North at the UN Security Council(UNSC), the North will make the U.S. pay.
 
The statement then stressed that the North is ready to use all ultimate measures, saying the steps that the U.S. takes will make it suffer unprecedented embarrassment.
 
The statement is apparently aimed at repressing U.S. efforts to apply stronger sanctions on the North.
 
Washington has requested the UNSC to vote on a new resolution against the North on Monday in response to its sixth nuclear test.
