North Korea has confirmed the missile it launched over Japan early Friday was a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile, with leader Kim Jong-un stating that the missile's combat power has been realized.
 
The North's official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) said Saturday that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspected the launch on site.
 
The report cited Kim as saying the North should clearly show how it is attaining the goal of completing its nuclear power despite unlimited sanctions and a blockade.
 
Kim called for concentrating all state efforts as the country has nearly reached the terminal. 
 
He said the North's final goal is to establish a real "balance of power" with the United States to stop U.S. rulers from talking gibberish such as taking military options against Pyongyang.
 
His remarks affirm the North's continued nuclear tests and missile launches are aimed at the U.S.
 
The KCNA also quoted the young leader as saying the combat performance and credibility of the Hwasong-12 have been thoroughly tested and the capabilities of officials behind the operation are also perfected.
