Tillerson: Military Option Only Choice if Diplomacy Fails on N. Korea

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says that if U.S. diplomacy fails to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, a military option will be the “only one left.”
Tillerson made the remarks on Sunday during an interview with CBS, stressing that the U.S. will seek a peaceful solution to the North Korean nuclear issue until it becomes necessary to use military force.
He said that Washington has been carrying out a "peaceful pressure campaign" to compel North Korea to come to the negotiating table over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. But he added that if the diplomatic efforts fail, a "military option will be the only one left."
In a statement issued after the North's latest missile launch on Friday, Tillerson urged China and Russia to indicate their intolerance for the North's weapons program by taking "direct actions" of their own against Pyongyang.
