Defectors Group Fly Hundreds of Balloons to N. Korea

A South Korean civic group consisting of North Korean defectors has sent hundreds of balloons containing USB drives across the inter-Korean border.
Jeong Kwang-il, a North Korean defector and head of the nonprofit organization No Chain, told a Seoul-based news agency on Wednesday that one-thousand USB drives and leaflets containing Bible excerpts were sent to the North via 350 balloons from Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province on Sunday.
Jeong said the group conducted the balloon-flying campaign ten times so far this year, but adding they may have to stop due to changing wind directions.
The USB drives include photos or videos intended to inform North Koreans of the reality of the free world and warn them of the danger of North Korea’s nuclear program.
