S. Korea Beats N. Korea in Women's Volleyball Qualifier

South Korea beat North Korea in an Asian qualifier for the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship with a 3-0 set score in Thailand on Wednesday.
South Korea is competing with North Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Iran in Pool B to become one of the two best teams to secure a berth in next year's championships.
The qualifier is regarded to be the first step toward the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as teams that maintain their world rankings by competing in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship next year get to try out for Olympic qualification.
South Korea will play against Iran on Friday.
