Taiwan Bans All Trade with N. Korea

Taiwan has reportedly banned all trade with North Korea in line with UN Security Council sanctions against the country over its sixth nuclear test.
According to Japan’s Kyodo News on Tuesday, the Executive Yuan, the executive branch of the Taiwan government said on its Web site that Taiwan is banning all trade activities with North Korea.
A spokesman said that Taiwan is not a member of the UN, but as a member of the international community, it is complying with international sanctions against Pyongyang.
To implement the UN measures, Taiwan will suspend oil product exports to North Korea and clothing and related textile imports from the North.
The ban is likely to have little impact because of the limited amount of trade between the two countries.
