White House Quiet over 'Calm Before Storm' Remark

U.S. President Donald Trump's mysterious remark regarding a "calm before the storm" is raising curiosity.

On Friday, the White House declined to elaborate on what Trump meant. The president made the cryptic warning on Thursday after dinner with his top military leaders. He was standing alongside them for a photo op when he made the comment.

Asked what he was referring to — such as possible action against Iran or the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria — Trump responded, “we have the world’s greatest military people in the room.”

When pressed again, he said nothing more than "you’ll find out."

His curious remark comes after he ordered officials to swiftly come up with various military options regarding North Korea's nuclear and missile threats.
