North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday that the country’s Sports Minister Kim Il-guk will attend an international gathering of the national Olympic committee chiefs in the Czech Republic.
 
The 22nd General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees(ANOC) is set to kick off in Prague this week. 
 
It remains to be seen whether Kim will have discussions with a South Korean delegation to the ANOC meeting regarding the possibility of the North’s participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
 
Baik Tae-hyun, the spokesman for Seoul’s Unification Ministry, said in a media briefing on Monday that it's not yet known whether the North intends to send a delegation to the South’s first-ever Winter Games.
