Xi Hopes for Development in China-N. Korea Relations

Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a message to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, expressing hope for development in bilateral relations under new circumstances.
North Korea's state media Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported on Thursday that Xi, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, on Wednesday sent a reply to Kim's recent congratulatory message to Xi.
In the message, Xi reportedly expressed gratitude for Kim's message on behalf of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
He also hoped that China and North Korea will make joint efforts to promote the sustainable soundness and stable development of their relations to bring greater happiness to their people and also contribute to mutual progress and regional peace and stability.
Last week, Kim sent a congratulatory message to Xi on the successful 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi's re-election as the leader of the country.
