NHK: Abe to Announce Plan to Expand Japan's Asset Freeze on N. Korea

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will reportedly announce a plan to expand Japan's asset freeze on North Korea during his summit talks with U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday.
Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported that Abe will unveil the plan as part of efforts to toughen Japan's own sanctions against Pyongyang during their summit talks.
NHK said that Abe and Trump will repeat calls for China and Russia to join their efforts to increase pressure on North Korea.
The two leaders will have lunch together and hold their fifth summit since Trump took office. They will hold a joint news conference after the summit and meet with families of Japanese abducted by North Korea.
