S. Korean Aid Group Launches 3-Week Trip to N. Korea

A delegation from a South Korean private aid agency is visiting North Korea to provide medicine and other aid supplies to vulnerable groups in the North.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Eugene Bell Foundation said an eight-member delegation had launched a three-week-long visit to the North, adding they will visit 12 partner tuberculosis centers to provide TB medicine and other aid goods.
The delegation includes American nationals, including Stephen Linton, the foundation's chairman, who were granted special permission from the U.S. government to travel to the North, as Washington implemented a North Korea travel ban in September.
In June, Seoul’s Unification Ministry granted the foundation’s plan to supply medicine to the North, the first approval of humanitarian aid for the North since President Moon Jae-in took office in mid-May.
