N. Korean Ship Carrying 10 Crew Found in Japan

A North Korean wooden ship carrying ten people has been found near a deserted island in Japan's Hokkaido. That's the tenth time a North Korean ship has drifted into Japanese waters this month alone.
Quoting Japan's coast guard, Japan's public broadcaster NHK reported on Wednesday that a wooden ship carrying ten North Korean crew was found at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in waters 12 kilometers northeast of an uninhabited island in Japan's northernmost Hokkaido prefecture.
The ten North Koreans were reportedly taking shelter on the island due to bad weather. The report said that they were not short of fuel, but needed food.
The Japanese coast guard plans to move the ship to a safe area to conduct an investigation.
On Monday, eight bodies were found in a wooden boat that washed ashore on a beach in Akita prefecture.
Last Thursday, eight people who are presumed to be North Koreans were rescued after a boat washed up on the shores of Akita prefecture.
