Trump: S. Korea, US Can Resolve N. Korea Issue Together

U.S. President Donald Trump said that his phone conversation with President Moon Jae-in held in the wake of North Korea's intercontinental ballistic missile launch was very helpful.
Trump made this remark Wednesday local time after receiving credentials from the new South Korean ambassador to Washington Cho Yoon-je at the White House.
The South Korean embassy said that Trump expressed contentment over his close ties with President Moon.
Ambassador Cho stressed the need to respond to the present stern situation through close bilateral cooperation and discussions, to which Trump said the two countries can resolve the North Korea nuclear issue together.
Trump also expressed satisfaction over his South Korea trip earlier this month as well as interest in the preparations for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. Ambassador Cho asked for Trump's support for the PyeongChang Games to make them an Olympics of peace and Trump expressed willingness to cooperate.
