N. Korea Celebrates 'Completion of Nuclear Power' with Rally, Fireworks

North Korea continues to celebrate the launch of its Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency said Saturday that military servicemen and citizens gathered in Pyongyang Friday to celebrate the country's "historic completion of state nuclear power" and "great victory of a rocket powerhouse nation."
During the rally, North Korean Premier Pak Pong-ju read a government statement that was released last Wednesday. Other officials also took turns giving celebratory speeches.
The ruling Workers' Party's main newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun, quoted Pak Kwang-ho, vice chairman of the party's central committee, as saying that "nobody can now infringe on North Korea's rights to sovereignty, survival and advancement."
Following the rally, fireworks lit up the Daedong River running through the capital Pyongyang.
