UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman arrived in Beijing Saturday following his five-day visit to North Korea.
 
He arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport on board a North Korean Air Koryo flight at around 10 a.m.
 
Before his trip to Pyongyang, the UN official met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong in Beijing and exchanged views on the North Korea nuclear issue.
 
This time also, he is expected to brief Chinese officials on the results of his visit and then immediately take a transfer flight and return to New York.
 
During his stay in North Korea, Feltman met with North Korean Foreign Minster Ri Yong-ho, Vice Foreign Minister Pak Myong-guk as well as Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang Alexander Matsegora.
 
He also visited a children's food factory and a maternity hospital in Pyongyang. 
 
North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency said Saturday that during contacts with the UN envoy, Pyongyang declared its stance to the UN regarding issues of peace on the Korean Peninsula and the UN's guarantee on fairness.
