UN Envoy: N. Korean Officials Agree Preventing War is Important
A senior United Nations envoy says North Korean officials have told him it is important to avoid war.
UN Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman visited Pyongyang last week to urge leaders to open up dialogue channels with the international community.
He told reporters Tuesday he had lengthy and serious talks with North Korean officials, but that his conversations did not result in any concrete proposals for further discussions.
