Unification Minister Emphasizes Peaceful Solution to N. Korean Nuke Issue
South Korea’s Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon advocated a peaceful resolution to the North Korean nuclear issue Friday in a meeting with U.S. foreign policy experts.
Cho told a delegation from the National Committee on American Foreign Policy(NCAFP) that it's also important to maintain strong sanctions and pressure on the North in order to change the North's attitude.
The two sides agreed that close coordination and cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. is crucial in bringing permanent peace to the Korean Peninsula.
