S. Korea, Japan Reaffirm Peaceful Resolution to N. Korea's Nuke Issue
South Korea and Japan’s chief nuclear negotiators wrapped up two days of talks in Tokyo Friday by reaffirming the need to peacefully resolve North Korea’s nuclear issue.
Lee Do-hoon met with his Japanese counterpart Kenji Kanasugi to discuss preparation for possible scenarios related to North Korea.
Lee called for Japan’s interest and cooperation in creating a momentum for peace for the upcoming PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.
Kanasugi said Seoul and Tokyo should work closely together to make headway in the denuclearization of North Korea through diplomacy.
