'Oil Trade Between N. Korea & China Under Discussion at UNSC'

Seoul’s Foreign Ministry says a sanctions committee of the UN Security Council is reviewing recent alleged oil transactions between North Korea and China in the Yellow Sea.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Noh Kyu-duk on Tuesday briefed reporters on the matter without giving further details.
Earlier, the U.S. Treasury Department posted on its Web site satellite imagery taken on October 19th, allegedly capturing a secret oil transaction between North Korean and Chinese ships in the Yellow Sea. Such activity is banned under UNSC resolutions on the North.
Asked what Seoul expects Beijing to do with regard to the alleged incident, Noh pointed out that China has been emphasizing that it is faithfully implementing the resolutions.
The South Korean government, he said, has also highlighted the need for UNSC resolutions to be thoroughly implemented, including during the South Korea-China summit meetings.
