Two Koreas Yet to Discuss Seoul's Proposal for High-Level Talks

South and North Korea are yet to hold any discussions on holding high-level inter-Korean talks despite the recent restoration of their military hotline at the truce village of Panmunjeom.
An official at South Korea's Unification Ministry said Thursday that when the North first contacted the South for the day at 4 p.m., it said it will inform the South if there's any message to convey.
In a call 30 minutes later, the North suggested they call it a day without mentioning the possible high-level talks.
Earlier in the day, the two sides were expected to hold discussions on Seoul’s proposal to hold high-level inter-Korean talks next Tuesday.
Another ministry official said the North appears to need some time to review Seoul's proposal.
