Unification Minister Vows All Efforts for Successful Inter-Korean Talks

South Korea’s Unification Minister says he hopes the upcoming inter-Korean talks will provide a chance to help solve North Korea’s nuclear issue.
Cho Myoung-gyon told reporters on Friday after attending a government strategy meeting on the inter-Korean dialogue that he will do his best to be prepared and make good use of the talks.
The minister said it's fortunate South and North Korea will hold talks that could pave the way for the restoration of inter-Korean ties and help resolve the North Korean nuclear issue.
Asked about the possible agenda of the talks, Cho said they will likely focus on the North's participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. He said other issues of mutual interest could also be on the agenda.
