South Korea says forthcoming inter-Korean military talks will focus on measures to assure the success of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. 

An official of the Ministry of National Defense told reporters on Wednesday that the agenda for talks will also likely be arranged to that end.  

The official hinted that discussions will cover necessary cooperative measures for the North Korean delegation to travel by land to the South for the PyeongChang Olympics. 

Asked whether the issue of border propaganda broadcasts and South Korea-U.S. joint military exercises could also be discussed, the official said Seoul will make gradual efforts beginning with easy issues.  

During high-level talks between the two Koreas on Tuesday, both sides agreed to hold the military talks in conjunction with Pyongyang’s agreement to participate in next month's Winter Games.
