Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Yang Jiechi arrived in South Korea Thursday to share the results of Xi's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The Chinese State Councilor arrived in Incheon International Airport on a Chinese civilian plane and did not respond to reporters' questions as he left the airport.

Later in the day, Yang is expected to meet South Korea's National Security Office chief Chung Eui-yong to discuss Xi and Kim's talks held earlier this week in Beijing as well as issues related to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The Chinese diplomat is set to meet with President Moon Jae-in on Friday at the presidential office and discuss the results of the China-North Korea summit.
