Inter-Korean Summit to be Held April 27th

The two Koreas agreed during high-level talks at the border village of Panmunjeom on Thursday to hold the inter-Korean summit on April 27th.
The announcement was made in a joint press statement following the meeting.
The two sides also agreed to hold working-level talks next Wednesday to discuss protocol, security and media coverage.
The summit date was set after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un suggested holding cross-border talks around the end of April, in a meeting with President Moon Jae-in's envoys earlier this month.
The inter-Korean talks will be the first to take place in eleven years.
Kim also proposed holding talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, which Trump accepted.
The back-to-back summits are expected to play a crucial role in the denuclearization and establishment of peace on the Korean Peninsula.
