N. Korean Media Reveals Video of Kim Jong-un's Visit to China

A North Korean broadcaster has unveiled video clips showing North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s visit to China this week and his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The North's Korean Central Television on Thursday aired scenes of Kim's secretive four-day visit to China that lasted through Wednesday, including footage of the special train he rode.

The edited video also showed Kim’s major activities during the trip, including his meetings with Chinese leaders as well as his participation in banquets and observation of facilities or events.

The 40-minute video highlighted China’s warm reception of the leader, including in the Chinese border city of Dandong where Song Tao, who heads the Chinese Communist Party's International Liaison Department, was seen warmly welcoming the North Korean leader.

It also showed 21 police motorcycles escorting a vehicle carrying Kim as it drove through the Chinese capital after his arrival at Beijing railway station, and Kim reviewing a Chinese honor guard. The video, however, did not show scenes that were broadcast by Chinese media outlets, such as Kim taking notes during his meeting with Xi.
