Top Office: Kim Jong-un's Attendance will Help Improve Inter-Korean Relations

South Korea's presidential office says that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's surprise attendance at a performance by South Korean musicians will help improve inter-Korean relations, calling it a "good thing."
A senior presidential official told reporters on Monday that Kim's attendance came without prior coordination with South Korea, but would help promote dialogue and reconciliation.
Kim watched the rare performance by the South Korean pop stars on Sunday at the East Pyongyang Grand Theater, along with his wife, sister and top North Korean officials.
Regarding China's move to restore its position in Korean Peninsula issues following a summit with North Korea, the presidential official said that Seoul hopes to hold a three-way summit among the two Koreas and the U.S. and that such talks should precede a four-way summit among the two Koreas, the U.S. and China.
