White House: Trump Didn't Talk Directly with Kim Jong-un
The White House on Tuesday denied media reports that U.S. President Donald Trump talked directly with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The Associated Press said the White House did, however, confirm that the United States held talks with the North at the highest level.
Earlier in the day, Trump told reporters during a picture-taking session with Japanese Prime Minister Sihnzo Abe at the Mar-a-Lago retreat in Palm Beach, Florida, that Washington is having direct talks at "extremely high levels" with Pyongyang to try to set up a summit between him and Kim.
