High-level S. Korea and US Diplomats to Meet in Seoul Next Week
Top diplomatic officials of South Korea and the U.S. will hold a meeting in Seoul next week ahead of the inter-Korean summit.
According to diplomatic sources on Friday, South Korea’s chief nuclear negotiator Lee Do-hoon and U.S. acting assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs Susan Thornton will sit down for talks next Tuesday.
The two officials are expected to exchange views on ways to completely denuclearize North Korea as their talks will be taking place three days ahead of the inter-Korean summit.
