Hotline Between Korean Leaders to Open on Friday

A hotline between the leaders of South and North Korea will open on Friday, exactly a week before their historic summit.
A presidential official told reporters that the hotline linking South Korea's top office and North Korea's State Affairs Commission will be set up on Friday but added that he cannot say at what point of the day the line will be connected.
The official said the opening of the line is expected to be after the plenary session of the North’s ruling Workers' Party of Korea ends that day. The official said details will be revealed after the line is opened and tested.
President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are expected to hold their first conversation via the hotline sometime next week as they had agreed to do so before meeting for their summit next Friday.
