Two Koreas Hold Working-level Talks Monday

With just four days to go until the inter-Korean summit, South and North Korea held a third round of working-level talks on Monday to discuss protocol, security and press coverage and finalize preparations.

The presidential office said the talks took place for about three and a hour hours at the Tongilgak building on the northern side of the Panmunjeom truce village.

The two sides are known to have discussed the exact time and manner in which President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will meet as well as whether they will hold a joint press conference.

Seoul and Pyongyang could hold another high-level meeting before the summit, depending on the outcome of Monday's talks.

Meanwhile, Moon convened an unscheduled meeting at 5 p.m. Sunday to review the agenda of the summit with four of six officials who will accompany him.
