U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected a suggestion that he has made too many concessions ahead of his summit with North Korea.

Trump tweeted on Sunday that "We haven't given up anything and they have agreed to denuclearization, so great for World, site closure and no more testing!" 

The tweet came in response to an NBC news anchor’s accusation that the U.S. had given away a lot in negotiations with North Korea in return for nothing.

Trump also said in his tweet that "We are a long way from conclusion on North Korea, maybe things will work out, and maybe they won't -- only time will tell." 

North Korea announced Saturday that it would stop all nuclear and ballistic missile testing and close a nuclear test site ahead of a potential summit with Trump. 

However, it did not say it would abandon existing nuclear weapons, raising speculations about Trump's tweet and whether the North had agreed to denuclearization.
