More than 30 Chinese tourists have been killed in a traffic accident in North Korea. 

According to Beijing's Foreign Ministry, a tour bus flipped over in North Hwanghae Province late Sunday, killing 32 Chinese and four North Korean guides who were on board. 

Two other Chinese tourists suffered life-threatening injuries and were receiving treatment.

The ministry did not reveal details of the accident, including the cause. 

China Central Television reported on the incident, showing video clips of a mangled, overturned bus amid rainy conditions. 

The ministry said the North Korean government is treating the case with importance, adding officials from the North Korean Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Embassy in Pyongyang were swiftly dispatched to the scene to manage the accident.
