Dish from Landmark N. Korean Restaurant to be Served at Banquet

Traditional dishes from South and North Korea will be presented at the reception dinner that will be held after the inter-Korean summit.
Presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said Tuesday that a famous North Korean restaurant Okryugwan will prepare Pyongyang-style naengmyeon or buckwheat noodles for the dinner. Cold dumplings made with sea cucumbers and croaker as well as rice sourced from the hometowns of South Korea's former presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun will also be served.
Kim said the menu was created in the spirit of those who had contributed to the peace and unification of the Korean people.
He added the President Moon suggested having naengmyeon from the landmark North Korean restaurant as one of the dishes and the North agreed.
