Two Koreas Conduct Joint Rehearsal for Friday's Summit

South and North Korea have conducted a joint rehearsal for an inter-Korean summit with only two days before the curtain rises on the historic event.
The closed-door joint preparatory event was held on Wednesday at the summit’s venue, the Peace House on the southern side of the truce village of Panmunjeom and at the same time Friday’s summit is scheduled for, between the morning and 2:20 p.m.
North Korean officials led by Kim Chang-son, an official from the State Affairs Commission, arrived at the Peace House to join South Korean officials for the rehearsal.
An official of the South Korean presidential office said working-level officials from the two Koreas thoroughly checked their preparations for the summit through the rehearsal.
The two sides, in particular, examined broadcasting conditions for the planned live airing of the summit, including the angles and luminance of cameras and other elements of the broadcasting system.
A South Korean presidential official said the joint rehearsal went smoothly with the two sides exchanging opinions in detail and actively responding to each other.
On the eve of the summit on Thursday, South Korea will hold a final rehearsal involving six officials who will accompany President Moon at the summit.
