S. Koreans, Foreigners Watch Live-Aired Summit with Interest

South Koreans and foreigners across the nation watched a live broadcast of the inter-Korean summit on Friday with hope for an improvement in Seoul-Pyongyang ties.
Scores of people gathered in front of large-screen displays at Seoul Station and Express Bus Terminal in the capital to watch the day’s historic events unfold.
Many citizens applauded when South Korean President Moon Jae-in was shown shaking hands with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during their first encounter at the truce village of Panmunjeom.
Some foreign tourists spotted at Seoul Station appeared surprised to see Kim on the screen while others expressed their happiness that relations between the countries are improving.
