S. Korean Spy Chief Briefs Japanese PM on Inter-Korean Summit

The chief of the South Korean spy agency has visited Japanese Prime Minster Shinzo Abe to explain the outcome of President Moon Jae-in's summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director Suh Hoon on Sunday paid a visit to the prime minister at Abe's official residence in Tokyo.
In the meeting, Abe reportedly praised the Moon government's continued efforts to resolve the North Korean issues, saying that the historic summit was held successfully thanks to President Moon's great efforts.
Abe also told the NIS chief that he was briefed on the summit from Moon in a telephone conversation on Saturday and expressed gratitude to Moon for conveying his concerns and thoughts on the issue of Japanese abductees in North Korea during the summit.
The spy chief arrived in Japan on Saturday and made the visit to Abe at 11 a.m. Sunday.
