Report: The Presidential Office in Seoul welcomed the possibility of the United States holding a summit with North Korea at Panmunjeom, describing the truce village as a significant place to mark a new milestone of peace.
Trump told reporters at the White House Monday he had already discussed the possibility with President Moon Jae-in.

"We're looking at various countries including Singapore, and we are also talking about the possibility of the DMZ - Peace House, Freedom House. And there's something that I thought was intriguing. I think that some people maybe don't like the look of that and some people like it very much. I threw it out today as an idea. I also told President Moon, and through President Moon we connected with North Korea. There's something that I like about it, because you are there. You're actually there, where if things work out, there's a great celebration to be had, on the site, not in a third party country."
A South Korean senior official dismissed foreign media reports that President Moon Jae-in convinced Trump to hold the summit there.
Meanwhile, President Moon has ordered swift and thorough follow-up measures for the “Panmunjeom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula,” signed after inter-Korean summit last Friday.
He also stressed the need to actively operate dialogue channels among the two Koreas and the U.S. for the success of the Trump-Kim summit.
He's promising efforts to get the National Assembly to ratify the Panmunjeom Declaration, but says he will not rush those efforts if there are any objections.
