Gov't to Begin Implementing Follow-up Steps to Panmunjeom Declaration

The government is moving quickly to implement provisions of the Panmunjeom Declaration signed by the leaders of North and South Korea Friday.
Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon told a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday the declaration has laid a foundation for the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
He ordered preparations for the implementation of projects not subject to UN sanctions on North Korea.
He says the same committee that helped prepare for the inter-Korean summit will be operating for now to implement its agreements.
