U.S. President Donald Trump has hinted that three Americans detained in North Korea could be released. 

Trump tweeted on Wednesday that “the past administration has long been asking for three hostages to be released from a North Korean Labor camp, but to no avail,” then adding “stay tuned!”

His remarks suggest that the three Americans could be set free ahead of his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. 

Trump’s tweet came as a South Korean media on Wednesday quoted activist Choi Soung-ryong, who has contacts in the North, as claiming that the three detainees -- Kim Hak-song, Kim Sang-duk and Kim Dong-chul -- were relocated from a labor camp to a hotel near Pyongyang under instructions from superior authorities.
