The presidential office says that the date and venue for the U.S.-North Korea summit will likely be announced early this week. 

President Moon Jae-in's special adviser Moon Chung-in said during an interview with cable channel JTBC on Monday that the announcement will likely come Monday or Tuesday, quoting a White House official.

A senior presidential official also expected that the announcement would be imminent considering Monday has already passed. 

When asked if Seoul and Washington are closely cooperating on arranging the summit, the official said that National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong is closely exchanging opinions with his U.S. counterpart John Bolton.
