The presidential office says that it is receiving sufficient information through multiple channels about North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s visit to China on Tuesday.  
 
Presidential Spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom made the remark during a news briefing after being asked to what extent the government was aware of Kim’s trip, adding that South Korea’s intelligence gathering capability is quite sophisticated. 

On the question if the North and China had informed Seoul of Kim’s visit in advance, Kim said that the government is gathering information through multiple channels, indicating that Seoul had received prior notices from the two countries.
 
Regarding the North Korean leader’s recent frequent visits to China, the spokesman said that there is more than appears and that the two Koreas are sufficiently communicating and exchanging views on the latest summit between North Korea and the U.S. through various channels.
