S. Korean Civic Group to Visit N. Korea Wed.

A delegation from a South Korean civic group will visit North Korea on Wednesday amid a thaw in inter-Korean relations.
The committee for the implementation of the inter-Korean June 15th declaration said the 15-member delegation left on Wednesday morning and will arrive in Pyongyang via Shenyang, China.
It will be the first private organization to visit the North since the launch of Moon Jae-in government.
The delegation will join members of the North’s committee for the implementation of the joint declaration, as well as overseas committees, to discus joint events and ways to implement the Panmunjeom Declaration announced after the April 27th inter-Korean summit.
The meetings are set to run through Saturday.
